SDCC 2016: Lyft Ghost Mode

Sony is partnering up with Lyft in order to keep the streets of Comic Con ghost free. Here’s what you need to know about Ghost Mode:

* When: Thursday, 7/21, through and Sunday, 7/24, from 11am to 7pm local time

* Where: San Diego

* What: Passengers can toggle into Ghost Mode and request a free ride in an Ecto-1 car. Ghost Mode will feature the original Ecto-1, as well as custom replicas. All rides are free, but we can’t guarantee they won’t be spooky!

SDCC 2016: Camp Conival takes over Petco Park

Legendary Digital Networks will once again head down to San Diego for a 4-day takeover of Petco Park for a third year for Camp Conival: a trip back in time to everything that you loved about summer camp. Headlined by Nerdist and Geek & Sundry, programming highlights include panels and interviews with some of the biggest names in entertainment.  Confirmed talent stopping by Camp Conival include: Luc Besson (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets), Misha Collins, Cara Delevigne (Valerian), Bryan Fuller (American Gods), Josh Holloway (Colony),Robert Kirkman (Outcast), Leonard Maltin (Maltin on Movies Podcast), Ian McShane (American Gods), Adam Savage, the cast of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, Ash vs Evil Dead, MST3K, and many more!

SDCC 2016: SyFy is Going Live

Syfy today announced an impressive talent line-up today for the three-night event SYFY PRESENTS LIVE FROM COMIC-CON, hosted by film and television star Will Arnett. Norman Reedus (“The Walking Dead”), Elijah Wood (“Dirk Gently”), the Emmy-nominated cast of MR. ROBOT, Jamie Alexander (“Blindspot”), Emmy-nominated Tony Hale (“Veep”), Will Forte (“Last Man On Earth”) and Zachary Levi (“Heroes Reborn”) will appear in Syfy’s first-ever live broadcast of the biggest party of the summer, broadcasting nightly from Thursday, July 21 through Saturday, July 23 at 8/7c.

Epic Fan Experience Provides Surprises, Screenings and Shenanigans

 

Adult Swim is ready to once again take on one of the largest and most exciting fan experiences of the year during San Diego Comic-Con this month. Fans can always expect the unexpected from Adult Swim, as they dive into celebrity-filled panels and signings featuring series stars, creators and producers from Robot Chicken and Rick and Morty, a new animated sketch show Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin’ Sclopio Peepio and the much-anticipated Samurai Jack. The free swag will be flying at the network’s official booth in the convention center and also at the exciting Adult Swim on the Green experience overlooking the bay.

Nickelodeon set to open its vaults at San Diego Comic Con

Nickelodeon and The Splat–the network’s programming block dedicated to Nick’s legendary library of hits from the ‘90s and 2000s–are blasting open the vaults for a slime-tastic, immersive experience at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016 that’s bound to be All That, and more.  Headquartered at its 1,800 square-foot booth (#4113) on the convention floor, Nickelodeon will pay tribute to some of its most memorable shows and popular characters with activations, games, panels, talent signings and interactive design elements featuring: Legends of the Hidden Temple, Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, Double Dare, Aaahh!!! Wonder Con 2016

Wonder Con 2016 traveled to Los Angeles this year where it was surrounded by delicious smells of food trucks and the sights of Downtown LA. For the most part the convention schedule was filled with sneak peaks and fandom meet-ups. However, there were deeper conversations happening within the hallowed walls of the con. One just had to pay close attention.

Highlights from Silicon Valley Comic Con 2016

Back in March I was luck enough to attend the inaugural Silicon Valley Comic Con (SVCC) which saw close to 60,000 guests make their way to San Jose over the course of three days. This places Steve Wozniak’s and Stan Lee’s Comic Con creation as the biggest convention in Northern California.
