The Flash is heading to the big screen sometime this century. Shocking, I know. After years of delays and set backs, the Scarlet Speedster will star in his own feature film in 2022. There are not a lot of details about the script at the moment, and we don’t know who the big bad might be, but that’s okay. We’ve waited this long for The Flash to be green-lit, we can wait a little longer to find out what the plot points will be.

What is known for certain is that Ezra Miller is still slated to play Barry Allen in the cinematic universe. Earlier this year Miller’s version of Barry Allen meet Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen during the CW’s Arrowverse crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths. Fans of the CW’s The Flash were notably upset when Miller was first cast. Gustin has given Miller his blessings before, and this years crossover event served as a strong reminder to fans everywhere that it is okay to have one actor portray The Flash on television, and another actor portray The Flash on the silver screen. After all, it’s a big multiverse.
